Magazine names Buffalo Wings & Rings fastest growing chain

Business Courier, 2008-07-11

Milford-based Buffalo Wings & Rings scored the No. 1 spot on Restaurant Business magazine's list of the 50 fastest-growing chains in the nation.

Called the "Future 50," the list uses information from Technomic Inc., Chicago-based restaurant research firm, to examine chains with sales between $25 million and $50 million. Buffalo Wings & Rings saw revenues more than double to an estimated $37 million in 2007. The casual eatery chain has 35 locations in 11 states and expects to grow to 48 locations by the end of 2008 and 78 by the end of 2009, according to a news release.

"Given these projections, we plan to open new restaurants at the rate of one per week in 2011," said CEO Philip Schram in a news release.

Buffalo Wings & Rings was the only Tri-State restaurant chain to make the "Future 50" list.
