Clermont Commissioners Recognize Small Business Ventures
Batavia, Ohio. As part of the Board of Clermont County
Commissioners proclamation on April 23, recognizing National
Small Business Week (April 21-25, 2008), five local businesses
were recognized for the valuable contributions they make to the
community.
"The small businesses we are recognizing are symbolic of the
many that are thriving across the county," said Clermont
Commission President Bob Proud. "We are happy to take notice of
the many contributions these businesses make to our community,
creating jobs and driving the economy."
Those businesses honored with a proclamation include:
Bachman's, Inc. (HVAC service provider based in Union Twp.),
Teleman and Berger Resistors (manufacturer of braking systems
for mass transit, based in Miami Twp.), Dualite (produces
illuminated signs for nationwide distribution at their
Williamsburg facility), HarvestINFO, Inc. (provides Web services
to media companies, based in Loveland), and Buffalo Wings and
Rings (operates three local restaurants-headquarters to be
located in Union Twp.).
"Small businesses create between 60 and 80 percent of all new
jobs," said Clermont Office of Economic Development Director
Andy Kuchta. "In Clermont County, we are seeing steady growth in
small business ventures; their numbers have increased 10 percent
between 2000 and 2005."
There are currently over 26 million small businesses located
across the country. If you are interested in starting one, a lot
of assistance is available. The Clermont Chamber operates a
